Heat Pumps
Heat Pumps include both Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) and Air Source Heat Pumps  (ASHP)as both technologies are very similar. The ASHP market is a new and evolving market, which is receiving considerable interest.

Ground Source Heat Pumps use the Earth’s natural thermal energy, a renewable resource, to heat or cool a building. The only additional energy these systems require is the amount of electricity they use to concentrate the energy harnessed and to circulate the heat throughout the building. Typically, this heat is distributed through under floor heating (a wet system) or as hot air (a dry system).

In addition, as well as providing heating, in some case, these systems can provide inexpensive hot water, to supplement the output of a conventional, domestic water heater. However, unlike conventional heating systems, GSHP systems can also offer virtually free geothermal cooling whenever required.

Air Source Heat Pumps extract heat from the surrounding air and work in a similar way to GSHPs throgh using a refirigant gas to absorb the heat and them compress it to get even more heat.
